Blair Witch Project
When the Blair Witch Project first came to the scene, people were excited. It was said to be one of the scariest movies of all time. The realistic aspects to the movie were really captivating, or so said the producers, cast, and directors. The movie was rather freaky in many parts. However, overall it was quite boring and lacked what you would expect from a movie with the hoopla it got.
The interesting aspects included the manner in which the film was created. It looked as if it were created with a home camera, which added to the movie itself. The film was jerky and disrupted at times throughout, which at first was intriguing. Then it just got corny and annoying however.
The acting was unique, with the cast being virtually unknown to anyone in the world of film. However, their ridiculous snotty nose scenes and crying hysterically were really boring and dull. The thing that this horror flick was missing was all of the cool special effects that blockbuster horror movies get. Sure, the Blair Witch Project was supposed to be stripped down and was art of sorts. However, the lack of those big and exciting effects left the movie quite boring overall.
So, if you want to see a horror movie that is stripped of most special effects and bare, the Blair Witch Project is what you need. However, if you love the dramatic special effects most horror movies have today, you need to pass on Blair Witch Project because you will likely find it boring.
