Napoleon Dynamite
It is so difficult to define some movies that hit society sometimes. There are movies that stand out in the minds of the audience because of their humor, because of the great acting, or because of the interesting special effects. Napoleon Dynamite is a movie that usually stands out in the minds of the audience because it is so painfully boring. It is strange. The movie is funnier when you get done watching it and think back on it. While you are watching it however, it seems like it is such a pointless and long movie and you may even think about turning it off.
So, Napoleon Dynamite gets mixed reviews. The marketing team behind the movie are still busy marketing the famous lines like “Are you going to eat your tots?” and “Vote for Pedro” on tee-shirts, mugs, and anything else they can think of. These sell by the millions, which makes you think that Napoleon Dynamite does have a following of sorts and that someone did enjoy it at some point.
Then you watch it again, just to be sure that you weren’t sleepy the first time. And it is just as boring the second time as it was the first. However, afterward you find yourself again chuckling at the jokes throughout. So, all in all, Napoleon Dynamite is a boring movie. But it is one that gets better with time, which is virtually unheard of in the movie industry. So see it once and think back on everything you saw to truly enjoy it.
