Sleepless in Seattle

All of the hopeless romantics of the world likely have Sleepless in Seattle on their number one list for all time great romantic comedies or love stories. The movie is just wonderful to watch and can really awaken the romantic in anyone. After all, everyone wants to believe in a love that powerful, right?

Cast
The leading characters of Sleepless in Seattle are Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. These are two of the best Hollywood has to offer. They have extremely extensive resumes and Meg Ryan has been called the Queen of Romantic Comedies more than once in her lifetime. The chemistry between the two of them is quite interesting on screen. Of course, for most of the film they are not acting “together”. But, they both bring so much excitement to the screen individually that it really doesn’t even matter one way or another. In addition, the supporting cast of Rosie O’Donnell, Bill Pullman, and the adorable Ross Malinger is fantastic as well.

Script
The script of Sleepless in Seattle is beautiful. You have this child who is trying to bring his father around to the idea of loving again after being widowed, which pulls at your heart strings each time you watch it. The script does a great job of keeping the movie light on drama, when the story could have taken it in a very dramatic direction. In addition, it is humorous and exciting as well. Anyone who sees Sleepless in Seattle will remember it for years after.
